The help and friendliness of the staff. Always ready to give local information.
It was next to quite a fast flowing river. Could not leave windows open at night due to the noise.
nice and frendly staff - good dishes
limited internet access - only in reception / bar area
They have a good dinner
The hotel staff isn't friendly at all. The internet doesn't work in the only suite in the hotel, but works in few rooms. After they clean the rooms I have to open the windows to get rid of the smell that they spray it with. They do not respect the "Don't Disturb" sign.
Excellent food - great variety. Friendly staff. Good location.
Bedding and bath linen fairly basic.
hotel's tranquillity, position - closeness to city and mountain facilities, hotel's room - large and confortable with interesting decorations, staff kindness
nice room with two doors between bedroom and hallway
Warm welcome, large room with balcony, mini bar, adequate bathroom, good breakfast with eggs cooked to order. Plenty of free parking. Nice cafe terrace. House wines quite acceptable but limited choice.
Poorly furnished room, only one balcony chair which had to be brought in to use at the table/desk (which had no chair), Hot water was brown,.Evening meal service a bit haphazard. Long winded multi courses of tiny portions some better than other. A quality three course meal would be better than a mediocre six course one. Some staff very hapy and welcoming whilst others very dour and sullen. Overall too many package tourists. Ghastly musical dinner one evening with non musical soloist on some sort of electronic synthesizer - think they found him at the end of a UK pier in 1965.
The quality of the food and the friendliness of the staff. General atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming.
Use of hotel by British tour companies meant that hotel was filled with predominately English guests - did not feel as if one was "abroad"
Good breakfast and quiet yet convenient location for town.
This hotel is not designed for the individual travellers. It is instead set up for the english speaking package tour only. This means that you have no feel of staying in the real Austria.
The staff was so nice, breakfast was good.the check out was so so so so easy ,, the location is good .. the parking is free ..
There is not net in the rooms only at the lobby and it's about 6eur for 1 hour.
What a great hotel! This was the most expensive hotel of our trip, but it was worth every Euro! They advertise that their hotel is the quietest hotel in Zell am See, and that is true. As advertised, we "slept like a log"! We were so glad that we did not book a hotel right on the lake because of the traffic and train noise. The hotel is conveniently located-- a five minute walk to the town and lake. We had a private balcony with a view over roof tops to the mountains and lake. Our room was a corner room, so when we opened the window and door to the balcony, we had a wonderful cross breeze. The food was exceptional--a huge breakfast buffet with eggs made to order and a top rate dinner with a great salad buffet. The staff spoke good English and was very courteous and helpful.
Everything about this hotel was great!
Fantastic traditional family-run hotel. Very helpful and welcoming staff with some of the best hotel food I've had for a long time, served up as part of the 5 course dinner each evening. Good selection for breakfast too. Quiet location just out of town, about a five minute walk from the centre.
Slightly tired fixtures and fittings in some paces, but everything very well maintained in spite of that.
